National Apprenticeship Week

The 15th annual National Apprenticeship Week is taking place in 2022, marking the 15th year of the week-long celebration of apprenticeships. The week brings together employers and apprentices from throughout the country to highlight the good impact apprenticeships have on individuals, businesses, and the economy as a whole.

The topic for National Apprenticeship Week 2022 is Build the Future, which reflects on how apprenticeships can help individuals develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career, as well as businesses, grow a talented workforce with future-ready talents.

Minister for Apprenticeships and Skills, Gillian Keegan said:

Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to learn while you earn, opening up new and exciting career paths that can transform lives. It’s been a tough year for everyone, but we want the theme for National Apprenticeship Week to be a springboard to look ahead to how apprenticeships can futureproof workforces and boost careers.

The week is a great opportunity to highlight the huge range of apprenticeships on offer – from Space Engineer to Registered Nurse. There are currently around 7,000 apprenticeship opportunities available on the Find An Apprenticeship website which will benefit individuals, businesses and local communities. I encourage everyone to get involved and help make it a success.

Throughout England, a variety of activities will be held to demonstrate how apprenticeships have benefited businesses of all sizes and sectors. More than 1,200 virtual events will take place, turning to a wide range of consumers.
